The application process to volunteer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North Texas opened Monday, offering soccer enthusiasts a chance to participate in the world’s most prestigious sporting event.
Organizers are looking for approximately 6,000 volunteers to assist with matches, practices, and fan events in the Dallas area. Prospective volunteers must be at least 18 years old, possess a strong command of the English language, and commit to eight shifts, which include pre-event training.
Additionally, applicants need to attend an in-person group recruitment session, pass a background check, and meet U.S. entry requirements if they are international.
Nina Vaca, co-chair of the North Texas FIFA World Cup Organizing Committee, expressed that this is an exceptional opportunity. Vaca shared, "We’re looking for anyone who wants to feel the magic of the World Cup coming to the North Texas region."
After applying, candidates are guaranteed an interview, which will be held at Fair Park in November and December. Training will take place in the spring of 2026, with credentials issued in June, just before the tournament, which the United States, Canada, and Mexico will co-host.
