CBD Provisions, located within the Joule Hotel in downtown Dallas, has reopened its doors after a lengthy closure. The restaurant now features a new chef, an updated menu, and a redesigned interior, which is an important milestone for the establishment.

The establishment has remained closed for renovations since July 2025, having first opened its doors in 2013 as a Texas-inspired brasserie reflecting downtown Dallas’ Central Business District. The relaunch signifies a significant new chapter for the well-established dining destination.

The restaurant is set to reopen, now under the leadership of new culinary director Sezer Deniz. With over twenty years of experience at Michelin-starred establishments, Deniz has honed his skills at renowned venues such as the acclaimed Alinea in Chicago. Deniz received training from Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the prestigious Institut Paul Bocuse located in Lyon, France.

Deniz announced that the revised concept seeks to preserve the restaurant’s ties to local ingredients while enhancing its culinary focus.

“CBD Provisions has consistently focused on celebrating local ingredients and supporting our community,” Deniz stated. “The reopening marks a refined vision, delivering a dining experience that combines both familiarity and freshness.”

The updated menu retains several beloved classics that have been integral to the restaurant's identity since its inception over ten years ago. The menu features the renowned Pig’s Head Carnitas, a dish that presents half a pig’s head on a plate, allowing diners to pull apart the meat and create their own tacos with tortillas.

Pimento cheese toast makes a comeback as a beloved favorite.

The new menu features a selection of dishes that showcase the fusion of traditional French cooking techniques with the bold flavors of Texas.

New menu items have been introduced, featuring Ancho Beef Bourguignon, a twist on the classic French dish. This version includes beef braised in a red wine reduction, complemented by ancho chili, pearl onions, carrots, wild mushrooms, and horseradish spaetzle.

The menu now features Asado Short Rib, with barbecue-glazed ribs, bread-and-butter pickled vegetables, sweet potato mousse, and a pecan topping.

The Commissary, a nearby bakery-café affiliated with Headington Cos., will provide a daily supply of fresh breads, including buns and sourdough.

The beverage program is set to showcase an array of wines sourced from Texas, California, and France, alongside craft beers from local Dallas-Fort Worth breweries. Additionally, patrons can look forward to signature cocktails, including the Good Word, a mezcal-infused variation of the traditional Last Word.

The restaurant's redesign maintains its brasserie heritage while enhancing the overall ambiance. The space retains its exposed brick, wood floors, and steel beams, while now featuring millwork paneling, vintage lighting, and mosaic tile floors.

Recent updates include stone tabletops, antique mirrors, and revamped seating configurations, including communal high-top tables, a central banquette, and railcar-style booth seating. A newly redesigned bar has been introduced, enhancing the overall layout.

CBD Provisions has officially opened its doors for daily service, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Notably, the establishment will extend its hours until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
