Celebrity stylist and entrepreneur J. Bolin is launching a new chapter in his career with the debut of House of Bolin, a creative venture that combines his fashion, styling and business expertise under one brand.
The Dallas-based stylist announced the new venture in early June along with "The Pivot Tour," a launch event scheduled for July 18 at the Kimpton Pittman Hotel in Deep Ellum.
Bolin has built a national reputation styling celebrities, entertainers, and public figures, including R&B singer Brandy and Dallas-based pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts. His client list has also grown to include Kelly Rowland, SWV, LaToya Luckett, En Vogue, and actor Morris Chestnut.
The Mississippi native's career gained national attention in 2018 after he styled supermodel Tyra Banks during her Dallas stop promoting the book Perfect Is Boring: 10 Things My Crazy, Fierce Mama Taught Me About Beauty, Booty, and Being a Boss.
Banks later shared that Bolin had initially reached out and offered to style her at no cost. His persistence impressed the model and television personality, ultimately leading to a professional relationship and paid opportunities.
Since then, Bolin has continued to expand his influence in the fashion industry while building a social media following of more than 500,000 across digital platforms.
After years of helping shape the public image of high-profile clients, Bolin said the launch of House of Bolin represents a shift toward showcasing his own creative vision and entrepreneurial ambitions.
The July event, titled "The Pivot Tour," is expected to highlight Bolin's journey from celebrity stylist to business owner while introducing the House of Bolin brand to clients, supporters and members of the fashion community.
The launch comes as Bolin continues to grow his presence in the fashion industry, positioning House of Bolin as the latest step in a career built on personal branding, styling expertise, and entrepreneurship.
