A sudden and organized effort to address illegal THC products resulted in unexpected raids at three hemp warehouses in Dallas on Tuesday morning, leaving owners and employees taken by surprise.

Officials from the Allen Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) executed search warrants at Monster Smoke Warehouse, Frontline Wholesale, and Cannify Distribution, all situated off Harry Hines Boulevard. The facilities, known for their hemp-derived offerings, were involved in a broader inquiry concerning purported unlawful THC distribution.

Video captured at the location revealed law enforcement personnel transferring several boxes into a minimum of two sizable box trucks. On Tuesday afternoon, the Allen Police Department issued a statement declaring, “These search warrants are part of ongoing efforts to dismantle the illegal distribution of consumable THC products.”

The enforcement efforts continued in Dallas. Further residential warrants were executed in Plano, Carrollton, and Colleyville, broadening the operation's scope.

Officials have not revealed specific charges or the details of the confiscated boxes, but they highlighted a broader initiative that commenced in 2024. As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities conducted raids on nine hemp retailers suspected of distributing illegal THC products.

“These warrants stem from an extensive investigation spanning several months,” the department announced, disclosing that undercover officers had made multiple purchases of illegal THC products directly from the warehouses. “These purchases supplied the essential proof for the actions taken today.”

Officials are currently investigating the destination of the profits, assessing whether the revenue remains within the United States or is redirected abroad.

Attorney David Sergi, representing Monster Smoke Warehouse, stated that his legal team is diligently pursuing copies of the search warrants and examining the evidence related to the raid.

As the inquiry progresses, North Texas hemp distributors are preparing for what may be a significant shift in the way state and federal authorities navigate the intricate legal framework surrounding hemp and cannabis products.
