A major deal has been closed by Dallas-based telecom giant AT&T. The company has acquired wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar in a transaction valued at approximately $23 billion. This acquisition is expected to add capacity and markets for both 5G and fiber internet services nationwide.

The deal covers around 400 markets across the country. Further details about the acquisition and its implications are available from Dallas Innovates, which initially reported the transaction after it was first announced last August.
