Preparations are nearing completion for Fort Worth’s Fourth, a major Independence Day celebration in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, scheduled for July 4 at Panther Island Pavilion.
The complimentary event, organized by the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) in collaboration with the non-profit Streams and Valleys, guarantees a full day of live music, activities for children, and distinctive river experiences, culminating in a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
Gates will open at 5:00 p.m., inviting attendees to experience the excitement of bounce houses, zip lines, and tubing on the Trinity River. According to TRWD spokesman Matt Oliver, the unique appeal of Fort Worth’s Fourth lies in its blend of leisure and enjoyment along the waterfront.
“Many fireworks displays you attend won’t allow you to enjoy the water, listen to live music, or participate in complimentary activities for kids while you wait for the show,” Oliver noted. “This part of the river stands out compared to other urban sections.”
While coolers are not allowed, attendees can look forward to a variety of food vendors and several complimentary water refill stations available throughout the event. Attendees are permitted to bring a single unopened bottle of water each and small tents for shade purposes.
Live music will fill the evening air across two stages, with performances taking place on a waterfront stage that features a sandy beach area, designed for convenient access to the river.
While parking fees range from $10 to $20, there is no charge for entry to the event. Guests are invited to bring along tubes, blankets, or chairs to ensure a cozy evening while the fireworks illuminate the sky above Fort Worth, beginning at 9:30 p.m.
